My name is JD and I’m so pleased to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Illinois but grew up in Colorado and live here with my husband and two cats. I have lived the life of a “Professional Volunteer” for nearly a decade which simply means I worked three full time “jobs” for four different charities at the same time. Volunteering gave me quite a bit of experience at writing for websites, online sales and social media as well as giving me experience at video and other content editing. I am a chronic health sufferer, I am childless, I'm a huge geek and I am valuable and significant in the eyes of my Savior.

This website represents a journey, a quest if you will, to find God in my every day.  To seek His presence like I'm on a treasure hunt.  To revel in each dotted line on the map as I remember the journey holds treasure along the way if only we would look.  So let's be explorers, treasure hunters, and LIBRARIANS!

Welcome to the treasure hunt

My first published works are two pieces of poetry in " The Music of Silence" and "Outstanding Poets of 1998".  A great deal of my work between then and now is unattributed copy for ministries and charities.  In 2017 I was privileged to be a contributing author for the book OVERCOMER by Kimberly Rae.  This launched my own blog, Dotted Lines – The Treasure Hunt to Find God in My Every Day, which invites you to join in the adventure as I share my thoughts on God, chronic illness, long-term waiting and a servant's heart.  I have been a guest and featured blogger for Grace & Truth, Gayl Wright and Make Time to Cuddle.  Most recently, I was published in the November 2018 issue of Purpose.  In March of 2019 my piece "One Man" will be displayed in the Writing is Art installment at the Cottonwood Center for the Arts.    I will soon be launching my Youtube channel so we can be explorers together on this fabulous quest to pursue God.
